Employees Retention and Engagement in Microsoft Corporation
Abstract
With the advent of Liberalization and the entry of Multinationals in India, since 1991, Job opportunities have opened up for the talent pool available in the workplace. Employees continually look for greener pastures and switch to companies where they feel they are rewarded. As an engaged employee contributes more to the organization success by being intellectually and emotionally bound with it, such an employee is more likely to stay-on and become an
advocate of the company, its products or services. Thus employee retention and engagement is a big and a constant challenge for every organization today, whether it is the corporate sector or an educational institution. It is a Herculean task for most organizations in the modern era of globalization and competitive business to retain employees. This study emphasizes upon all those concepts related to employee engagement and retention which helps Microsoft Corporation, Gurgaon, in reducing attrition rate and in maintaining satisfied workforce.
