International Capital Management Practices in the Backdrop of Globalization
Abstract
Every innovative concept incorporates one or the other aspects as its central idea. This central idea on one day or the other becomes the main driving force. Same is the case with international capital management. With the advent of LPG (Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization) and its environment impact, capital management and its direction has become an important issue on various international forums. International economic advisors have now become more serious and conscious regarding capital movements of mass consumption countries. Case of India has become very peculiar in this regard for the simple reason that India is the second fastest growing economy of the world and it comes only after China in terms of various economic parameters. On various fronts, an in-depth synthesis of India may show direction to the world trade in terms of capital disbursements. This paper attempts to identify those international capital management practices that may help a developing country like India’s to find its space in this new century.
